Transporting a Kalashnikov with ammunition in a suitcase, 24-year-old arrested

The Tirana Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in flagrante near the bus terminal on “Kastriotët” Street. The young man, a resident of Bathore, is suspected of transporting a Kalashnikov firearm with live ammunition in a suitcase, with the intent to sell it.

The weapon was seized, while the procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

Transporting a Kalashnikov with ammunition in a suitcase for the purpose of sale, a 24-year-old man was apprehended near the bus terminal on “Kastriotët” Street.

The firearm was seized.

Services of Police Commissariat No. 3, as part of ongoing operational work focused on combating the illegal possession and sale of firearms, finalized the operation “Luggage”.

As a result of immediate intervention following information obtained through operational channels, the citizen H. M., 24 years old, a resident of Bathore, was caught in flagrante and arrested near the bus terminal on “Kastriotët” Street. He was found carrying in a travel suitcase, allegedly for the purpose of sale, one Kalashnikov firearm with live ammunition.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
