Transporting goods from North Macedonia? A strike is starting… here’s the latest notice!

Authorities in North Macedonia have announced, through the Information Exchange Center, that due to a protest organized by a freight transport company, the movement of goods at border crossings with North Macedonia will be blocked.

Starting from 00:01 on January 26, 2026, entry into the Republic of North Macedonia will be blocked, and at 12:00 on the same day, exit from the Republic of North Macedonia will also be blocked.

The protest is planned to last 7 days if no solution is reached to resolve the issue.

Heavy-duty vehicles carrying medical supplies or livestock will be allowed to pass. Passenger vehicles will also be permitted to cross.
