APTAMIL baby milk withdrawn from circulation, toxic

The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency informs the public that, through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), it received notification no. 2026.0598 regarding the infant food product APTAMIL. In one batch of this product, which is used for special medical purposes, the presence of the substance Cereulide was detected, and an immediate withdrawal of the product from the market has been requested.

As the risk level has been assessed as serious, the Food and Veterinary Agency, in cooperation with the importing company, has taken immediate measures to withdraw the product from the market: APTAMIL AR 2 – infant formula, packaging ENG 24 x 400 g. Produced by Nutricia Infant Nutrition Ireland Ltd. (Danone), importer in Kosovo: UNION SH.P.K., Vushtrri.
