Blitz operation in prison, phones and prohibited items seized

The General Directorate of Prisons carried out a surprise operation at the Fushë-Krujë prison.

The inspection began on Wednesday at 5:30 PM and ended at 7:30 PM. The General Directorate of Prisons announced that during the operation, authorities discovered and seized 3 mobile phones, 3 watch-phones, improvised sharp objects, and other prohibited items.

Statement from the General Directorate of Prisons:

“The General Director of Prisons, Adriatik Kupi, together with the Director of Prison Police, Senior Leader Paulin Rajta, carried out a surprise and comprehensive inspection of the institution’s premises, setting a clear standard for the enforcement of law and discipline. Any attempt to undermine security, order, and discipline in penitentiary institutions will be immediately and uncompromisingly addressed. Inspections will continue with high intensity in all penitentiary institutions. No one is above the rules. Responsibility will be both individual and institutional. Tolerance is zero,” the statement said, among other things.
