Korça and the surrounding towns were shaken a short while ago by an earthquake.
According to reports, the quake had a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale. It struck in Ziçisht, in the Devoll area, and was felt in Korça and other cities of the southeastern region.
The 3.1-magnitude earthquake occurred at 06:15 in the morning, startling residents of the southeast, although it was of short duration.
No damage has been reported, but such early morning tremors naturally cause concern among residents about possible aftershocks to follow.
