Celebration in Gentjan Liço’s family. Happy birthday!

The assistant coach of Skënderbeu’s team, Gentjan Liço, celebrates his 53rd birthday today. It’s a special day for an iconic figure in Korçë’s football history, and beyond, as Liço was also part of the Albanian national teams during his prime years as a player.

His career has been closely tied to Skënderbeu, where he made a significant contribution first as a youth player and later with the senior squad. His professionalism, dedication, and passion for the game have made him one of the most respected names in Albanian football.

After ending his playing career, Gentjan Liço didn’t stray far from the green pitch. He continued to contribute to the sport in a new role, first as a coach and then as the assistant coach of Skënderbeu’s first team. For several consecutive years, he has been an active part of the technical staff, helping nurture and develop many young talents from Korçë.
