A classified U.S. intelligence analysis assesses that Iran would be able to withstand a U.S. naval blockade for at least three to four months before facing serious economic difficulties.
According to reporting by *The Washington Post*, the CIA document delivered this week to policymakers in the Trump administration is based on assessments by the U.S. intelligence community regarding Tehran’s economic and military capabilities in the event of escalation.
The analysis also emphasizes that, despite weeks of intensive bombardment by the United States and Israel, Iran continues to retain significant ballistic missile capabilities.
A U.S. official cited in the report states that Tehran still holds around 75% of its pre-conflict stockpiles in mobile launchers, as well as approximately 70% of its missile inventory. According to the same source, there are also indications that Iran has managed to recover and reopen nearly all underground storage facilities, repair some damaged missiles, and even complete the assembly of missiles that were in advanced production stages at the start of the conflict.
The report concludes that, despite military strikes, Iran’s strategic capabilities remain still substantial.
