Dangerous for children, NFA withdraws “BEBA” infant formula from the market after alert from European authorities

The National Food Authority (AKU) has announced the blocking and withdrawal from the market of several infant formula products, following an alert issued by the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
According to the announcement, Albania was informed by RASFF that, after checks carried out by the Italian authorities, the presence of the substance Cereulide was detected in infant formula originating from the Netherlands, which poses a potential risk to human health.
The identified products are:
BEBA PRE 800G – Lot no. 51250346AA, expiration date 05.2027
BEBA PRE 800G – Lot no. 51720346AA, expiration date 06.2027
BEBA PRE 800G – Lot no. 51660346AC, expiration date 06.2027
BEBA 1 800G – Lot no. 51180346AB, expiration date 04.2027
BEBA 1 800G – Lot no. 51450346AA, expiration date 05.2027
BEBA 1 800G – Lot no. 51660346AB, expiration date 06.2027
BEBA SUPREME PRE 800G – Lot no. 51720742F3, expiration date 06.2027
BEBA SUPREME 2 800G – Lot no. 51550742F1, expiration date 06.2027
BEBA SUPREME 2 800G – Lot no. 51550742F2, expiration date 06.2027
NFA states that, following inspections and full traceability procedures, the quantity of the product has been blocked and will be destroyed.
The authority urges consumers who have purchased this product and are still using it to immediately return it to the points of sale and avoid its use.
