Snowfall in the first days of February has brought visitors back to the tourist village of Dardhë, creating a very busy weekend.
Visitors are mainly from different cities in Albania, who have chosen Dardhë to spend the weekend, attracted by the snow-covered landscape and opportunities for winter activities. They say they have remained loyal to this destination over the years, emphasizing that the ski slope continues to be one of the main attractions.
“We come to Dardhë every year. Snow makes the place even more beautiful, and the ski slope is the main reason we return,” said one tourist.
Local businesses say: “This weekend has brought many visitors. Snow is always good news for tourism in the area.”
During the past year, the tourist village of Dardhë welcomed more than 6,000 domestic and foreign visitors. However, climate change and the lack of snowfall in some seasons have contributed to a gradual decline in tourist numbers from year to year, making every snowy period even more important for the local economy.
