Two Albanian citizens, aged 30 and 33, were arrested by Greek police on Sunday evening in Thessaloniki after a violent conflict in the apartment where they were living.

According to Greek authorities, the dispute between the two compatriots is believed to have started due to disagreements related to narcotics. The situation escalated further after the 33-year-old reported that he had been threatened with a knife by the 30-year-old during the confrontation.

Following the report, police forces arrived at the scene to neutralize the situation and detain those involved. However, the intervention by officers did not occur without incidents.

According to police, the 30-year-old resisted arrest with force, reacting aggressively toward officers. He is also suspected of physically assaulting and threatening police officers during the arrest, further worsening his legal position.

During a search of the apartment where the two Albanian nationals were living, Greek authorities discovered and seized around 13.8 grams of cocaine. Investigators believe this quantity of narcotics may have been the main cause of the conflict between them.

After the completion of procedural actions, both Albanian citizens were arrested on drug-related charges. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old also faces additional charges, including dangerous bodily harm, threats, violence against police officers, and insult.

Both detainees are expected to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office in Thessaloniki, where they will be informed of the official charges and legal measures against them.
