The Transparency Board has set new fuel prices in the country during its meeting held on May 2, 2026, defining maximum selling prices for both retail and wholesale markets.

According to the decision, the retail price of diesel (standard SSH EN 590) must not exceed 206 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price has been set at a maximum of 194 ALL per liter.

Meanwhile, for gasoline, the maximum retail price is set at 184 ALL per liter, while the wholesale price is 172 ALL per liter.

Authorities state that these prices have entered into force immediately, starting from 16:00 on May 2, and will remain in effect until a new board decision is made reflecting possible market changes.

Responsible institutions have warned all fuel trading operators to strictly comply with this decision. In case of violations, strict measures will be taken, including suspension of activity for entities that do not respect the set prices.

In this context, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, emphasized its commitment to protecting consumer interests and ensuring fair competition in the fuel market.
