High temperatures and civil safety: What is planned?

Summer and high temperatures significantly increase the risk of fire outbreaks, whether intentional or accidental. In this context, today I held a meeting with the Civil Protection Commission at the county level for the May–October 2025 period, focusing on the management of civil emergencies during the summer season. Mr. Besnik Hysa, representative of the National Civil Protection Agency, was also present at the meeting.

The annual support from the government and the state budget in the field of civil protection has been continuous, through the conditional fund allocated to local self-governing units. For the six municipalities of our county, this year’s fund amounts to approximately 50 million ALL.

The necessity for coordination among municipal structures, between municipalities, and with other state institutions at the local and regional levels including the chain of community volunteer groups will ensure a more efficient management of situations caused by fire outbreaks.
