Inspections in Korçë and Pogradec: Several citizens prosecuted for tax and administrative violations

During inspections carried out by the relevant structures in Korçë, Pogradec, and Ersekë, several violations of the law were identified, with a number of citizens facing proceedings for lack of documentation and conducting unregistered activities.

In the village of Gurras, citizen K. B., 29, and in the village of Vërdovë, citizens L. B., 38, and M. Xh., 28, were found to be running unregistered businesses, thereby avoiding legal obligations.

On the “Pogradec–Korçë” road axis, during the inspection of a van belonging to a commercial entity, dozens of boxes of soft drinks and water were found without accompanying tax invoices. The administrator of the entity, citizen E. S., 43, resident of Pogradec, was prosecuted. It was also found that the vehicle’s driver and a minor were not registered with the competent authorities.

Meanwhile, in the city of Ersekë, during the inspection of citizen Xh. H.’s vehicle, 61, several household appliances were found being transported without tax invoices, constituting a violation of fiscal law.

Authorities stated that inspections will continue regularly in order to prevent and penalize illegal activities, as well as to ensure fair competition in the market.
