Korçë / Informative and awareness-raising meetings continue in schools

As part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Education and Sports, for the execution of the program “Youth Safety,” Police services have continued awareness-raising meetings with students of nine-year and secondary schools in the Korçë district.

The latest meetings were conducted by assistant specialists of the Korçë Local Police Directorate for school education, in cooperation with the staff of the nine-year schools “Nuçi Naçi” in Korçë, “Sadik Dilka” in Voskop, Korçë, “Bardhyl Pojani” in Maliq, and the schools “Koli Gusho” and “Kole Koçi” in Pogradec, in the presence of the schools’ psychologists.

During the meetings, discussions were held with sixth-grade students on topics such as:

Violence in general;

Bullying and its forms;

The causes and consequences of bullying;

Student safety on the internet;

The negative effects of the use of tobacco, alcohol, and narcotic substances on the human body.

Police officers had prepared illustrative materials for the students, and leaflets containing information and interesting facts related to the field of safety were distributed.

The presentation of the topics was accompanied by videos and photos in PowerPoint format, giving students the opportunity to see concretely the consequences of violence, bullying, misuse of the internet, and harmful substances.
