Awareness meetings continue in schools to increase the safety of children and young people.
Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education and Sports, for the implementation of the national program “Youth Safety,” the Korçë Police services continue the cycle of informative and educational meetings with students of 9-year and secondary schools in the district.
The latest meetings were held by the assistant specialists of the Korçë Regional Police Directorate for school education, in cooperation with the teaching staff and security officers, at the 9-year school "Stavri Toçi" in the village of Ravonik, Korçë, and at the private school "Nehemia" in the village of Buçimas, Pogradec, with participation from 6th-grade students.
During discussions with the students, topics of particular importance for their age were addressed, such as:
Violence and its forms;
The phenomenon of bullying, its causes and consequences;
Risks and safety in internet use;
The importance of respect and non-violent communication.
To make the meetings more understandable and engaging, police officers presented visual materials, videos, and illustrative photos, while informational leaflets on safety and protection against bullying were distributed to the students.
These meetings aim to educate the new generation with civic values, raise awareness of potential risks, and strengthen cooperation between the State Police, schools, and families, for a safer community.
