Also, a powerful fire broke out in the Udënisht area, spreading rapidly due to the strong wind. As a result, the Police blocked vehicle traffic at the exit of Pogradec towards Qafë-Thanë, for the safety of passersby and to allow firefighters to operate.

After several hours of work, firefighters and service workers managed to extinguish and isolate the flames.

One of the local restaurants suffered considerable damage, including the burning of the kitchen, but thanks to the intervention of firefighters, the rest of the building was saved. The biggest risk came from a nearby gas station, which made firefighting efforts even more difficult.

According to preliminary investigations, the cause of the fire was a problem in an electrical cabin in the area.

A low-voltage pole collapsed in the village of Guras in Pogradec. It is learned that this is a private line and no subscribers have been left without electricity. EDO (OSHEE) teams are on the ground closely monitoring the situation.
