The African heatwaves have gripped Albania in recent days, pushing temperatures up to 41°C in some areas, especially in the central and southern parts of the country. The scorching weather has made movement difficult and increased health risks, particularly for the elderly and children.

However, according to meteorologist Lajda Porja from MeteoAlb, this situation is expected to change. She told Vila24 that starting from Wednesday, there will be a gradual drop in temperatures, thanks to the arrival of cooler air masses from the northwest of Europe.

Although some cooling is expected, temperatures will remain at typical summer levels, while nights and mornings will feel noticeably fresher, bringing relief from the extreme heat that has enveloped the country.
