The fire in the Prespa National Park has been extinguished, and the situation in the Korçë region has returned to normal

The wildfire situation in the Korçë region has been fully stabilized. The Prefecture has announced that there are no longer any civil emergencies or active fire outbreaks reported across the territory.

The most problematic hotspot, located in the Prespa National Park within the municipality of Pustec, has been completely neutralized after several days of efforts. All other previously reported fires in various areas of the region have also been extinguished.

Firefighting units, civil emergency services, and forestry workers continue to monitor the area on the ground to prevent any possible reactivation and to ensure the safety of residents and the surrounding environment.
