The situation on the Librazhd–Pogradec road has worsened. The bridge has cracked and is at risk of collapsing, and pedestrian traffic has also been suspended.

The bridge is cracked and currently at risk of falling, so even pedestrian passage is prohibited.

In recent hours, the collapse has progressed, increasing the danger for traffic on this segment. Heavy vehicles, trucks, and buses are not allowed to pass through this area. The decision was made in coordination with the Albanian State Police and will remain in effect until further notice.

In its official statement, the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) advises drivers of heavy vehicles and buses to use alternative routes. However, the police note in their statement that no alternative routes exist for heavy vehicles.

Trucks and buses traveling from the Kapshticë or Qafë Thanë border crossings toward the port of Durrës have no alternative route. The massive landslide in Dragostunjë, which has taken over half of the road and threatens the remaining part, makes passage for heavy vehicles both impossible and dangerous.
