U.S. President Donald Trump has published on the social network Truth Social a list showing that 41.3% of Albanian families living in the United States receive social assistance. In this list, President Trump shared data on the receipt of social welfare benefits by immigrant families from other countries in the U.S. as well.
According to these data, 41.3% of Albanian immigrant families in the United States benefit from social assistance from the American state. Kosovo is also included in the list, with 46% of families receiving social assistance.
The tables are part of a ranking titled “Immigrant Welfare Recipient Rates by Country of Origin,” which presents the percentage of immigrant families receiving social assistance, broken down by country of origin.
In the list published by Trump, Albania appears with a lower percentage compared to some other countries, but above the 40% threshold, ranking near countries such as Moldova, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
