With a surface area equivalent to seven neighborhoods combined! The world’s largest cruise ship sets sail for the first time

The world’s largest cruise ship, named “Legend of the Seas”, has set sail for the first time. The new Royal Caribbean vessel is nearly 370 meters long and weighs 250,000 tons.

It took 12 hours to fuel the ship, and four tugboats pushed the massive vessel to the outfitting pier for final preparations ahead of its official launch next summer.

The ship features a water park, 21 bars, and 23 restaurants, covering an area equivalent to seven neighborhoods, with a maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers.

Royal Caribbean, the company behind the ship, says that “families of all ages will be able to enjoy quality family time together, in their own way.”
