The 13 new heads of administrative units in Fier were introduced this Tuesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku called for increased commitment to strengthening local administration, fulfilling the promises made to citizens who, on May 11, gave the Socialists 12 parliamentary seats in the Fier district.

“You need to have teams of young men and women who are tech-savvy.

We must offer services that elderly people or others cannot access by phone.

For example, on E-Albania, many notaries abuse the system by offering paid services.

The fact that the Albanian government received strong voter support, especially in Fier district, makes us even more responsible.

Just as they trusted us with their vote, we must repay them with our work,” Balluku said.

She added that a priority should be the clearing of public spaces, although Fier faces fewer problems in this regard compared to other cities.

“You must be up to the task because the clearing of public spaces in Fier doesn’t have the same issues as in other areas; the situation is much better.

Still, there are complaints from citizens, which we are processing, related to parking near apartment buildings.

And the very fact that citizens support the reform to clear public spaces means you should make this a priority in your work,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage of the removal of tents set up on sidewalks, emphasizing that the action will continue without interruption until all occupied public spaces are freed.
