The leader of the *Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet* coalition, Adriatik Lapaj, is not giving up on the parliamentary mandate he claims to have won in the May 11 elections for the Tirana district. He has filed an appeal with the Electoral College.

Just days after the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) and the Central Election Commission (CEC) rejected his claims—not only denying Lapaj the mandate, but also stripping his cousin Kleana Xhuveli of it and transferring it to Ana Dajko—Lapaj submitted his lawsuit on August 4, challenging the CSC decision in full and the CEC decision in part.

Lapaj is seeking recognition as the rightful winner through the open-list preferential votes of citizens in Tirana. He is also asking the court to reject the legitimacy of the retracted resignations submitted on July 15 and 17 by Zeqir Kordhoni (uncle of Endri Shabani, who was first to claim his resignation signature should be verified) and Kleana Xhuveli, who was declared the winner by the CEC.

On July 30, CSC ruled that the only mandate won by NSHB in Tirana should go to the top name on the closed list: Ana Dajko.
