It is located in the village of Qesarakë, Kolonjë Municipality, and was founded by local residents in honor of the saint Haxhi Babaj. It dates back to the 17th century and has played an important role over the years both in religious and national terms, serving as a shelter for Petro Nini Luarasi.

In 1914, the tekke was burned by Greek andartes. The building was three stories high, with stone walls, basements, and spaces built in a rectangular form according to the Bektashi tradition, with a roof covered in stone slabs.

The tekke was rebuilt years later, resembling its former shape, and during the years of communism it remained closed. On June 10, 1973, it was declared a Cultural Monument by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
