The Democratic Party has begun the process of internal reform following its loss in the May 11 elections.
As a first step, the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, removed from the National Council communication group on WhatsApp the members who were not re-elected as deputies.
Among those removed from the group are Helidon Bushati, Dhurata Çupi, Lefter Gështenja, Emilia Koliqi, Kreshnik Çollaku, Kasem Mahmutaj, Ferdinand Xhaferri, Qani Xhafa, Eralda Tase, and Dashnor Sula.
Many of them had been critics of the current leadership of the Democratic Party, making this move particularly significant within the context of the internal debate on how the opposition should move forward.
