Panajot and Boni Hamzallari are two young brothers from Korçë who are standing out for their talent in music.
Both play the guitar and sing, and during the holiday season they performed on the stage at the Old Bazaar of Korçë, creating a lively atmosphere for visitors who chose to spend time in the southeastern region.
They say they have been singing for a long time, although they see their future outside of Korçë due to limited opportunities.
“We have been singing and performing live music for about 10 years. Our main songs are Korçë serenades because that’s the culture we grew up with; it’s the music of our soul. We also study rock music and play rock. It’s our passion, but the issue is support there isn’t much support for our creations, there’s a lack of backing,” said Panajot Hamzallari.
“I am 22 years old, and I started at the age of 8. I play several instruments, including guitar, and I’m a bassist and vocalist in my band. I don’t think that art and my genre are supported in this country because they favor anti-values. We have several songs we plan to release to satisfy our spirit and the few people who appreciate this music. There are very few,” added Boni Hamzallari.
Many young people like the Hamzallari brothers are seeking institutional support to promote their artistic work in southeastern Albania.
