A wedding in India turned into a full-blown brawl after the groom’s guests started a violent fight over the absence of rasgulla, a famous Indian sweet. Kicks, punches, flying plates, and chairs turned the celebration into chaos, ultimately leading to the wedding being canceled.

The incident took place in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, on November 29, with footage going viral only in recent days.

Video captured by surveillance cameras at the hotel where the event was held shows guests of the newlyweds exchanging blows across the room, amid chairs and plates flying, despite the presence of many children.

The tense moment ended after several minutes, along with the celebrations: the event was canceled, and the wedding was called off.

Local newspapers report that the violent fight was triggered by the absence of rasgulla, a traditional sweet from Eastern India often served at banquets and wedding celebrations. In the following days, the bride’s family filed a lawsuit against the groom’s family, who firmly denied the allegations, calling them baseless.

Local police have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
